Why do I need an attorney?
The law is complicated. There are deadlines to every case and there are procedural issues as well as admissibility of evidence issues with every case. Unless you handle these issues appropriately, you could end up ruining your case and having it dismissed. You can bet that the at-fault party and their insurance company already have an attorney. Without someone on your side you are at a distinct disadvantage.
The insurance company said I don't need an attorney --- is that true?
Do you really want to believe someone whose goal is to make sure you don't collect from them? Of course you need an attorney! The insurance company knows this and they already have one working for them.
Is my case big enough for a lawyer to handle?
We will be glad to sit down with you and give you advice on your personal injury case. We handle cases big and small for people who are injured at work, in a car wreck, dog bites or slip and fall accidents.
Will the information I share with you be confidential?
Of course.
What areas of South Carolina do you practice in?
We handle cases all over the state. We currently have cases or are reviewing cases in 20+ counties.
How do I know whether I am covered by workers' compensation?
If you are an employee (not an independent contractor) and your employer has 4 or more employees they are required to carry workers' compensation coverage in South Carolina. If you suffer an injury by accident in the course and scope of your employment then you are entitled to workers' compensation.
I still have some questions about workers' compensation insurance coverage and whether I should sue for injuries, what should I do?
We will be happy to sit down with you and answer your questions. We have an office in Rock Hill. We also have offices that we can utilize in Charleston, Edgefield, Spartanburg and Jasper counties. So no matter where you are in the State, we will be glad to come to you.
